Our plans for the Goods Yard site

In March 2022, East Herts endorsed a new masterplan for the Goods Yard site. This will provide:

  • Up to 740 new homes
  • Commercial, retail and community floorspace
  • A hotel
  • New station parking
  • Improvements to the transport interchange
  • A sustainable route through the site
  • Public open space

What’s been delivered so far?

  • Multi-storey car park
  • Connecting bus route
  • Taxi bays
  • Drop off bays
  • Public realm improvements
  • First phase of residential apartments

Next steps

Solum will be submitting a detailed application for the next phase and an outline application for the remaining part of the site in Summer 2022. The detailed application will provide:

  • New homes
  • A new commercial building
  • Station square
